Bar Supervisor Position Description
About the role
The Clubhouse Moorooka is seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor who will be responsible for every aspect of operating bar service at The Clubhouse Moorooka, a licensed community sport and recreation community club. The Clubhouse Moorooka is a new venue undergoing a staged opening, currently operating an outdoor garden bar from 4pm to 9pm Friday and Saturday and 3pm to 7pm on Sunday, pending transformation of the indoor venue. The Bar Supervisor will be responsible for setting up and packing up after each shift in addition to managing bar service and other duties as detailed in the Duties of the Position section below. The position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced self-starter who would like the opportunity to help shape the service experience that we offer our members and guests as we gradually transition the venue to a fully operational community club.
Essential criteria

Experience in all aspects of bar supervision and/or management in accordance with all relevant liquor and gaming regulations
Possession of a Queensland approved Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
Ability to work calmly and flexibly within a start-up environment, problem-solving skills and capacity to identify strategies to support business growth
Superior interpersonal and leadership skills that will foster a positive, respectful and inclusive workplace culture and venue
Demonstrated capacity to fulfill all Duties of the Position (outlined below)

Duties of the position
The Bar Supervisor will be responsible for:
All aspects of bar operations in accordance with liquor licensing regulations
Set up and pack down of the Garden Bar facilities before and after each shift
Rostering, supervising, training and supporting staff and volunteers
Management of customer service in compliance with responsible service of alcohol provisions
Monitoring and ordering of bar stock, janitorial and cleaning supplies and liaison with providers
Monitoring facilities in the venue
Reconciliation, accounting and banking of bar takings
Managing compliance with occupational health and safety and security regulations and logging any incidents
Refining, developing and documenting operational procedures as the venue transitions to full operation
Other duties as required.
Terms of employment
This is a permanent part time position, initially for 30 hours per week with potential variation. The successful candidate will be offered a package in accordance with the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award 2020 (Level 7, A Level Manager) with Superannuation Guarantee to be paid at the statutory rate (currently 10%). The position will be paid minimum 30 hours per week and is required to be on duty to manage the bar from Fridays to Sundays and work other hours (at a time to be negotiated) to order stock and prepare rosters. Pending recruitment of a Venue Manager, the Bar Supervisor will report to The Clubhouse Moorooka President.
