About the Event

Join us for the launch of A Forgotten History: Moorooka Aboriginal Camp Life

Based on the recollections of her mother Auntie Sue Hansen who lived in the Moorooka Aboriginal Camp in the 1940s - 50s. The camp was located on the edge of what is now Toohey Forest between Mayfield Road and Evans Road.

Feature Auntie Sue and Chrissy discussing the book and their personal family history, and author and historian Ray Kerkhove on the role of the camps in Brisbane’s First Nations history.  Based on the popularity of indigenous history events held at the Clubhouse previously, we hope our members will love the opportunity to hear more about this new book about an important part of recent Mooorooka history.
