FUNDRAISING
We are a group of local volunteers who came together because we were interested in seeing the former Moorooka Bowls Club retained for community use. Worried that the venue could fall into developer’s hands, we decided to do something about it — so we formed a not-for-profit group and put our hands up to run the club.
As a newly formed organisation run by volunteers we have no capital to get The Clubhouse up and running. It’s a beautiful, but dilapidated building and grounds, which requires a lot of love from a lot of hands and a load of money to return her to her former glory!
Our fundraising strategy includes a mix of memberships, corporate sponsorship, donations, events, grants and earned income. The strategy relies on community support.
CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN
In September and October 2021 we successfully raised $22,435 through a crowdfunding campaign.
The funds raised will cover start-up costs and our first month’s bills, including insurances, a liquor license, utilities, rent, internet, phone, waste, cleaner, cleaning products, glassware, chairs and tables, grounds maintenance, point of sale system, stock and a first aid kit.
Everyone who donated to the campaign purchased a memberships. Memberships will be valid from the day we launch.

We welcome partnerships with like-minded businesses who support our common purpose; to build a healthy and connected community, reduce social isolation, and promote wellness, while lifting our suburb’s profile and driving visitation to the suburb.
We will work with you to identify opportunities that achieve your goals and ensure a mutually beneficial partnership.
Marketing and brand opportunities can include Naming Rights to our Event Green (where the fun stuff happens), displaying your business name on a bar stool at the main bar, shout outs and speaking opportunities at events and across social media, logo acknowledgements in venue and more.
DONATION
There has never been a greater demand for localised spaces where the community can get together in their neighbourhood. By delivering a welcoming, multi-use venue with a variety of informal opportunities to meet and connect, our vision is to create a connected, diverse, supportive and healthy community, which in turn will elevate the suburb’s profile and create pride in place.

FUNCTIONS AND EVENTS
We will have a variety of spaces to host your event, including greens, meeting spaces and a function room. These won't be available until 2022.
